Along with the standard digital 35mm and medium format film photography techniques, Michael Maddaloni's natural skill for capturing large format images with medium format cameras is paralleled by none today; his pioneering of civilian workstations dedicated for image editing allowing him to break almost all hardware barriers associated with working in super high megapixel workflows. Quite simply, Michael's ability in proper photo techniques and aesthetically sound imagery combined with modern digital techniques allows him to expand the frame and allow the viewer that much wider and interesting, memorable pictorals.
A life long student of photography and photojournalism, Michael Maddaloni holds dear those photographers, cinematographers, and directors that create imagery that in itself tells a story but in such a subjective way that it (the work) could have a different meaning for every person who witnesses it. It is this concept that Michael tries to capture with his own work and present to his own viewers a story without a word of explanation; this is the essence of photography.
