I recently spent about a week in Deadwood, SD only an hours drive from Devil’s Tower, Wyoming, one of the most interesting natural rock formations in the entire world. I have been here quite a few times before, but always in the summer, and never with any sort of cloud formations. For the first time, I arrived when there was fog cover, you could barely see in front of you, but when I got nearer to the park, the Tower presented itself shrouded by low lying clouds in this beautiful landscape of dead trees and golden grass. I was very happy with the results on this trip out to Devils Tower and look forward to going back: in the winter.
